ALEKSANDER KOBUS

One of the most titled Polish trumpet players. His technical skills and musicality resulted in a victory in the Ellsworth Smith International Trumpet Solo Competition sponsored by the International Trumpet Guild and a special award in the ARD International Competition. He is a laureate of awards and distinctions at over 30 national and international music competitions in the United States, South Korea, Great Britain, Italy, Germany, Sweden, and Poland. His recording of Krzysztof Penderecki’s Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra, performed with the Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra conducted by the composer, was nominated for the prestigious Polish “Fryderyk” Music Award. He was a scholarship holder of the Yamaha Music Foundation for Europe; he also received the “Young Poland” scholarship of the National Cultural Center for the most outstanding Polish artists of the young generation.
